CMAG instituted two trophies along with citations for the Best Practices, one from among Municipal Corporations and urban development authorities and the other from the municipalities. Apart from the two trophies, thirteen other citations for municipal bodies were also to be awarded. To decide upon the awards and identify the transferable best practices, an expert committee was constituted from the field of urban management.
